About the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Reporting to the President, the Provost is the chief academic officer of the University and is responsible for all aspects of TCU’s academic mission. The Provost’s Office also serves as a communication link with external constituencies, including the Board of Trustees, multiple accrediting agencies, and other key partners. The selected candidate will be an accomplished scholar with an earned terminal degree and credentials warranting tenure and the rank of full professor in one of the University’s academic departments. The next Provost will have an established record of success in academic administration and a visionary leadership style that is transformative, engaging, and inclusive. The Provost will also have exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive campus community, and a demonstrated ability to advance the multiple undertakings of a major university.

The University’s Leadership Team

Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr., TCU’s Chief Executive Officer, has led TCU since 2003 and is its 10th Chancellor. TCU has experienced unprecedented growth under the Chancellor’s leadership, enabling the university to flourish as a world-class, values-centered university.

The Board of Trustees established the position of President to support the Chancellor’s continued prioritization and advancement of TCU’s academic mission, strategic goals, and a myriad of operational demands of a large and complex university. TCU President Daniel W. Pullin began his role in February 2023. The President operates as the Chief Operations Officer and reports to the Chancellor. The President convenes a cabinet composed of 15 members, including the Provost, Vice Chancellors for Student Affairs, Finance and Administration, Human Resources, Marking and Communication, Advancement, the General Counsel, the Chief Officers for Investment, Inclusion, Technology, University Compliance, the Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Director of Programs and Executive Initiatives.
